Community Guidelines

Reler is built on respect, connection, and shared community standards. We want every student to have a positive experience, so we’ve outlined the expectations for how to interact on the app and with others. These guidelines help keep Reler fun, welcoming, and safe for everyone.

Reler is for safe, positive introductions between high school students. These guidelines outline what’s appropriate on your profile and what to keep in mind when connecting off-platform.

I. Who Reler Is For
  1. High school students only (ages 14–18).
  2. You must use your real age, school, and grade.
  3. One person per account — no parody or shared accounts.

II. Profile Photos
Your profile should show who you are — clearly and accurately.

Allowed
  • Clear photos that include your face.
  • Photos that reflect your interests, teams, or hobbies.

Not Allowed
  • Sexual or suggestive imagery.
  • Drugs, vaping, alcohol, weapons, or illegal behavior.
  • Hate symbols, harassment, or bullying.
  • Deepfakes, AI faces, face swaps, or photos of someone else.

III. Bios
Your bio should help others get to know you — not direct them off-platform.

Allowed
  • Interests, sports, music, humor, personality.

Not Allowed
  • Social media handles, phone numbers, links or invites.
  • Age misrepresentation or misleading identity.
  • Sexual content, hate, harassment, or self-harm messaging.
Note: Social media handles can only exchanged after a mutual Spark, through Reler’s built-in system.

IV. Identity & Safety Integrity
  1. No impersonation or fake profiles.
  2. No catfishing — your photos must be you.

V. After Adding Users Off-Platform
Reler cannot see your off-platform conversations, but behavior there still matters.

Do
  • Keep talk respectful and school-appropriate.
  • Trust your comfort level — you don’t owe anyone replies.

Do Not
  • Request or send sexual content — ever.
  • Share home addresses, schedules, or private IDs.
  • Pressure, threaten, or manipulate someone.

If someone you met on Reler does any of the above off-platform:
→ Block them, then report them on Reler — our Trust & Safety team will review and take action if necessary.

VI. Prohibited Behavior (On and Off-Platform)
  • Harassment, bullying, hate speech.
  • Sexual exploitation or any request for explicit images.
  • Threats, blackmail, extortion.
  • Promoting violence, drugs, weapons, or illegal behavior.
  • Encouraging self-harm.
  • Impersonation or identity deception.

VII. Enforcement
We use both automated systems and human review.

Possible Outcomes
  • Content removal
  • Temporary feature limits or suspensions
  • Account removal for serious or repeated violations
  • Re-verification if age is in question

VIII. Reporting
If you see something, say something:
  • Tap the 'Flag' on the user's profile, then tap 'Report' — we may ask for a report reason.
  • If the report is an off-platform issue, please provide as much context as possible.

In Short
Be yourself. Keep it school-appropriate. Treat people with respect.
And most importantly, have fun making friends!
