This Privacy Policy explains how Reler Labs, LLC (“Reler,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, discloses, and protects personal information when you use our mobile application, websites, and related services (collectively, the “Services”). By using the Services, you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services.
Reler helps people discover platonic friendships. Reler does not offer private user-to-user direct messaging. We also use third-party age verification services to help confirm eligibility and reduce safety risks. These product choices affect how and why we handle data, which is explained below.
1. Information We Collect
a. Information You Provide
When you create an account, you provide:
Phone number
First name
School and grade level
Gender selection
Profile photos (if enabled)
If you contact us for support or to report content or behavior, we may receive the information you provide in your message and any attachments you include.
b. Age Verification Information
To help ensure that users fall within the intended age range, we may use a third-party age verification provider (such as Yoti).
In most cases, we only receive a verification result (for example: “verified age” or “verified age range”).
We generally do not store full ID documents. If verification artifacts are temporarily needed to review suspected fraud, they are deleted when no longer necessary.
c. Approximate Location (Before Account Creation Only)
Before creating your account, you may allow Reler to access your approximate location. We use it one time to suggest nearby schools and determine if Reler is available in your area.
We do not track your location after your account is created.
d. Device and Usage Information
When you use the Services, we automatically collect:
Device type and operating system
IP address, language, and time zone
App version and device identifiers
In-app actions (such as views, likes, skips, and session time)
Crash logs and performance diagnostics
We use this information to operate the app, maintain security, and improve the user experience.
2. How We Use Personal Information
We use personal information to:
Provide and operate the Services
Help users discover age-appropriate, platonic friendship connections
Verify eligibility and detect suspicious or fraudulent activity
Promote platform safety
Enforce our policies
Respond to support inquiries
Improve and analyze the Service’s performance and features
Reler does not offer private messaging between users, which limits the categories of personal data we process and reduces risk.
3. How We Disclose Personal Information
We do not sell personal information.
We do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
We may disclose personal information to:
Service Providers that help operate the Services, such as hosting, age verification, analytics, crash reporting, and safety moderation tools.
Professional Advisors, such as lawyers and accountants, under confidentiality obligations.
Legal and Safety Authorities if we believe disclosure is required to comply with law, prevent harm, or report suspected child exploitation or threats of violence.
Business Transaction Participants in the event of a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of company assets. If this happens, this Privacy Policy or a successor policy will continue to protect your information.
4. How You Share Information Through Reler
When you like another user, they may see:
Your school
Your grade
Your first name and profile may become visible if they unlock visibility through available features.
Reler does not include private messaging, so we do not collect private chat content.
5. Data Retention
We keep personal information only as long as necessary to:
Provide the Services
Maintain platform safety and integrity
Comply with legal obligations
Resolve disputes and enforce our terms and policies
Age verification artifacts (if present) are retained only temporarily and deleted once no longer needed to verify eligibility or prevent fraud.
6. Your Privacy Rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to:
Request a copy of the personal information we hold about you
Request deletion of your account and associated information (subject to legal and safety retention needs)
Request corrections to inaccurate information
Request that we limit or stop certain forms of processing, where allowed by law

Include the phone number associated with your account. We may need to verify your identity before processing your request.
We will not discriminate against you for exercising your privacy rights. Some jurisdictions provide a right to appeal if we deny a request; if so, you can appeal by replying to our decision email.
7. Children and Teen Users
Children under 13 may not use Reler.
If we learn that we collected personal information from a user under 13, we will delete it.
Teen users (13–17) may use the app in accordance with local laws and with appropriate permission where required.
Parents or guardians may request deletion or review of a minor’s account by emailing: parents@reler.app
If we suspect child sexual exploitation or imminent harm, we may report information to appropriate authorities or child protection organizations, as required by law.
8. Security
We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to help protect personal information (including encryption in transit, access controls, and system monitoring).
However, no system is completely secure. If you believe your account has been compromised, contact security@reler.app.
9. International Transfers
Your information may be stored or processed in the United States or other countries. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for international transfers.
